``It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
- Henry David Thoreau
Thoreau’s words always resonate with me. “Seeing`` and “looking at`` are two completely different phrases that are often used interchangeably, and shouldn’t be. I relate this quote to beauty. As a stylist, I LOVE to help my clients feel lovely by changing their hairstyles or giving them eyelash extensions. Yet my passion for this industry transcends a person’s “looks.” Yes, an amazing color, cut, and blowout help enhance a person’s beauty, but to me, beauty is found within. I have a passion for every aspect of my career, but especially that I get the opportunity to not ``look`` at the beauty of my clients, but to ``see`` their beauty and help them shine on the inside and out.
